“In a Gallup poll taken last month, only 37% of respondents rated the economy "excellent" or "good," while the remaining 63% rated it as "only fair" or "bad.
Compare that with the beginning of 2001, when 66% of respondents rated the economy -- then on the brink of recession -- as "excellent" or "good."
- The Wall Street Journal
Having been beat across the head by "Big Media" about how bad the economy is, it is very difficult for the average person to feel good about it in spite of their own success.
Many were lead to the path of ruin during the Clinton years as the Nasdaq at $5000 was a house of cards being propped up by an all too willing cheerleading media. Now the same people will tell you that life is crap and will remain so until their party is back in power, raising taxes and regulating us to death.
Responsible journalism, why have you forsaken us?
